Merchant Link Certifies Systech; Systech Dial-to-IP Converters Already in Use on Merchant Link siteNET Internet Gateway.

SAN DIEGO -- Systech Corporation, San Diego, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of Internet Payment Gateways for electronic transaction markets, today announced that it has received certification for its family of Internet Payment Gateways to the Merchant Link siteNET(R) Internet Gateway. Systech also announced that successful merchant deployments have already occurred.

Systech Internet Payment Gateways connect legacy dial-up payment terminals and POS controllers to the Merchant Link network over the public Internet using secure SSL transactions, or over existing private IP networks. Merchants benefit from higher-speed IP transactions, recurring cost savings from IP-based processing, and from the reduction in phone line costs.

More than a dozen configurations of the Systech converters are available to match the varied needs of merchants in verticals like restaurant, lodging, mass merchandise and retail petroleum. Stand-alone POS payment terminals connect to Systech gateway devices using an RJ-11 telephone connection. Multi-terminal POS payment controllers connect to the Systech gateway using a serial modem connection. In all cases, no changes are required to the previously installed payment application or user interfaces at the merchant site. No new training is required.

"We are excited about working with Systech and feel it will positively impact our ability to more efficiently handle and support the merchants' electronic payments needs," said Chuck Harris, President of Merchant Link, L.L.C. "This is very much in line with our strategy of continually providing secure, reliable and innovative solutions which meet the unique needs of our customers," he added.

"Merchant Link is a great match for a growing list of merchants who want processor flexibility," said John Stafford, Systech's director of payment systems. "Systech and its partners are very excited to have certified to the Merchant Link siteNET(R) Internet Gateway, giving merchants greater access to reliable, high-speed IP networks and the benefits of IP-based transaction processing."
